About the role
- Fortinet is looking for a QA Engineer to execute testing on network security products. The role involves manual and automated testing in a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
- Execute regression testing on Fortinet products using a combination of manual and auto-testing techniques.
- Create, maintain, and execute test specifications and test cases
- Write scripts to automate the testing cases
- Identify, document, and track software defects found during testing
- Work closely with developers to ensure defects are correctly identified and fixed
Requirements
- 5+ years of network and software testing experience
- Strong experience in script and automation, such as Python, Jenkins and shell scripts, etc.
- Solid understanding of TCP/IP, routing and switching
- Strong experience in Unix/Linux and Windows operating systems
- Knowledge of OpenSSL, Apache, Iptables, MySQL, Tcpdump and Wireshark
- Good knowledge of security, i.e. firewall, encryption, PKI, x509 certificates
- Experience with SMTP, Exchange server and Microsoft Active Directory service is desirable
- Experience with virtualization platform like VMware, KVM, Xen is a plus
- Demonstrated ability to logically and analytically troubleshoot software
- Demonstrated ability to write clear and reproducible problem reports, and test results
- Knowledge of general QA procedures, methodologies and software development fundamentals
- Experience with configuring, installing, and troubleshooting PC/server software and hardware in a Windows or Linux environment
- Ability to work in a collaborative environment and communicate well with other departments
- Ability to work on assigned tasks under tight time constraints
