About the role
- Industrial Engineer supporting forward model and capacity studies in Powertrain Operations. Collaborating with teams to achieve labor targets and optimize process efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Support forward model and capacity studies for all milestones including Direct Labor and Indirect Labor in Powertrain Operations.
- Lead new model labor optimization efforts to achieve labor targets, through benchmarking (internal and external), target setting, tracking process change, and replicate across programs/Plants.
- Assist with operator allocations, cycle line layouts, plant rebalances, line speed changes, time studies, throughput issues, and launch support.
- Accurately maintain and deliver required IE documentation (Labor Glidepath, PHM, Program 1-Pager, Plant Line speed, APT Assessment, etc.).
- Work with plants to complete & evaluate time studies using MODAPTS as the measurement tool for work standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical or Electrical pref)
- At least 2-3 years of Industrial Engineering or Manufacturing operations experience
- Open to travel
- Knowledge of Time studies, setting up workstations, line balancing
- Proficient with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, etc...)

- Plant Industrial Engineering & Manufacturing Process operations experience preferred
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel (Advanced), Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Experience with MODAPTS preferred
