About the role
- Build Operations Engineer aiding in infrastructure solutions for TechnipFMC by collaborating across teams and improving operational efficiency. Engaging in automation and integration technologies for enhanced services within the Build Operations domain.
Responsibilities
- Assist and deploy the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of operational solutions within the Infrastructure and Operations Build team
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure solutions align with organizational goals and deliver measurable value across the Infrastructure and Operations Build domain
- Ensure platform integrity aligns with technical roadmaps
- Identify ways to simplify architecture and solutions while avoiding new complexities
- Lead the delivery of business value and improved user experiences
- Develop and maintain documentation, including system diagrams, design specifications
- Provide support, guidance where appropriate whilst fostering a culture of continuous improvement, delivery quality, change management, skills development and knowledge sharing
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry best practices to inform strategic decisions in the 'Build Operations domain'
Requirements
- BSc in relevant discipline
- Extensive knowledge of automation Intune and SCCM
- Proficient in web application development using JavaScript and TypeScript
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitHub Actions
- Familiarity with cost optimization strategies in cloud platforms
- Proficient in hybrid infrastructure models, with hands-on knowledge of both cloud and on-premises solutions
- Proven, demonstratable and evidence-backed experience developing and scripting with PowerShell
- Understanding of CI/CD development cycle, usage of distributed version control and collaboration tools, such as GitHub Enterprise
- Familiarity with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform as well as pipeline tools like GitHub Actions
- Skilled in designing, implementing, and maintaining IT systems and infrastructure to support business services
