Responsibilities
- Lead and support a high-performing team of engineers, serving as a technical mentor and a strategic partner to the Head of Engineering.
- Own durable systems and drive the execution of our product roadmap.
- Guide architectural decisions for scalable, available web applications.
- Identify and prioritize technical debt across the codebase.
- Monitor system performance, lead incident response, and act as escalation point for production issues.
- Establish team practices in code reviews, testing, CI/CD, and documentation.
- Drive team growth through regular 1:1s, career development plans, and technical up-skilling.
Requirements
- 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, with at least 1-2 years in a formal management or technical leadership role.
- Deep knowledge of technical architecture and system design, with hands-on experience in modern web applications.
- A proven track record of managing product roadmaps and delivering reliable, customer-facing solutions in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across departments and lead with empathy.
- The ability to lead independently while staying aligned with company objectives and the vision of the Head of Engineering.
