Responsibilities
Provide professional supervision and technical guidance to team members.
Work closely with the Service Manager to ensure consistently high service standards and delivery.
Deputise for the Service Manager when required.
Support preparation of budgets, spending profiles and service plans.
Co‑ordinate workload, resources and programmed service delivery.
Prepare and deliver committee reports, papers, presentations and recommendations aligned with service priorities.
Stay ahead of new innovation, best practices and technical standards.
Engage with Consultants to provide specialist design support.
Requirements
Degree standard education (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline.
Significant experience in the Roads and Transportation industry.
Experience in budget management.
Strong communication and presentation skills.
Extensive knowledge of key legislative components.
Strong IT skills and willingness to embrace technology.
Political awareness and experience engaging with elected members.
Proven ability to lead and inspire a team, promoting a positive culture in the workplace.
Experience in preparing and managing project plans and programmes, with a focus on digital integration.
Ability to travel within Fife.
