Responsibilities
Technical responsibility for refrigeration, air conditioning (HVAC) and ventilation systems in shipbuilding
Develop technical concepts and prepare specifications for approval and procurement processes
Sizing and calculations of systems
Define, coordinate and manage interfaces with suppliers
Evaluate bids and prepare decision proposals regarding technical risk and cost assessments
Review and assess suppliers' design documentation
Create and/or review schematic piping diagrams based on construction specifications and classification society rules
Create and/or review 3D models in the area of refrigeration, HVAC and ventilation
Technical coordination with customers and system suppliers
Collaborate with other design departments and production
Requirements
Completed degree in engineering or a related scientific field, or technician qualification (m/f/d)
Professional experience in the field and experience with integration in shipbuilding desirable
Confident knowledge of regulations and guidelines, preferably classification society rules and SOLAS
Proficient user of the CAD software AutoCAD and good MS Office skills
Good written and spoken English skills in the technical domain
Confident manner, ability to work independently, assertiveness, and strong communication and teamwork skills
