Responsibilities
- Technical responsibility for refrigeration, air conditioning (HVAC) and ventilation systems in shipbuilding
- Develop technical concepts and prepare specifications for approval and procurement processes
- Sizing and calculations of systems
- Define, coordinate and manage interfaces with suppliers
- Evaluate bids and prepare decision proposals regarding technical risk and cost assessments
- Review and assess suppliers' design documentation
- Create and/or review schematic piping diagrams based on construction specifications and classification society rules
- Create and/or review 3D models in the area of refrigeration, HVAC and ventilation
- Technical coordination with customers and system suppliers
- Collaborate with other design departments and production
Requirements
- Completed degree in engineering or a related scientific field, or technician qualification (m/f/d)
- Professional experience in the field and experience with integration in shipbuilding desirable
- Confident knowledge of regulations and guidelines, preferably classification society rules and SOLAS
- Proficient user of the CAD software AutoCAD and good MS Office skills
- Good written and spoken English skills in the technical domain
- Confident manner, ability to work independently, assertiveness, and strong communication and teamwork skills
