Responsibilities
- Support in the field of refrigeration, air conditioning & ventilation technology for shipbuilding
- Development of technical concepts and preparation of specifications for the approval and procurement process
- Sizing and calculations of the systems
- Definition, coordination and management of interfaces with suppliers
- Evaluation of offers and preparation of decision proposals regarding technical risk and cost assessments
- Review and assessment of suppliers' design documentation
- Preparation and/or review of schematic piping diagrams based on the construction specification and classification society rules
- Creation and/or review of 3D models in the area of refrigeration, air conditioning & ventilation technology
- Technical coordination with customers and system suppliers
- Collaboration with other design departments and production
Requirements
- Completed technical or scientific degree or technician qualification (m/f/d)
- Professional experience in the field and experience with integration in shipbuilding desirable
- Confident knowledge of regulations and guidelines, preferably classification society rules and SOLAS
- Proficient user of the design software AutoCAD and good MS Office skills
- Good written and spoken English in the technical field
- Confident demeanour, independence, assertiveness, and strong communication and team skills
