About the role
- Automation Maintenance Engineer optimizing complex automation systems in logistics for Zara. Delivering maintenance and driving performance in a high-volume environment.
Responsibilities
- Carry out root cause analysis on breakdowns and implement corrective actions
- Minimise operational downtime through effective fault-finding and repairs
- Ensure spare equipment is maintained and recorded in line with asset management processes
- Identify and implement opportunities to improve automation efficiency
- Develop and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly performance reports
- Identify, report, and mitigate hazards, incidents, and accidents
Requirements
- Electrical & Mechanical Engineering qualification – minimum ONC in Electrical Engineering/NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent)
- 18th Edition Electrical qualification
- Strong proven experience within engineering or automation environments
- Hands-on knowledge of warehouse automation systems, including Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs), Conveyors, Sortation systems
- Experience working in complex, fast-moving operations
