About the role

  • Automation Maintenance Engineer optimizing complex automation systems in logistics for Zara. Delivering maintenance and driving performance in a high-volume environment.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out root cause analysis on breakdowns and implement corrective actions
  • Minimise operational downtime through effective fault-finding and repairs
  • Ensure spare equipment is maintained and recorded in line with asset management processes
  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve automation efficiency
  • Develop and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly performance reports
  • Identify, report, and mitigate hazards, incidents, and accidents

Requirements

  • Electrical & Mechanical Engineering qualification – minimum ONC in Electrical Engineering/NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent)
  • 18th Edition Electrical qualification
  • Strong proven experience within engineering or automation environments
  • Hands-on knowledge of warehouse automation systems, including Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs), Conveyors, Sortation systems
  • Experience working in complex, fast-moving operations
