Customer Applications Engineering Technical Lead overseeing deployment and support of hardware and software for AI and HPC applications. Leading a team to ensure customer success and seamless integration.
Responsibilities
Lead the deployment and support of OpenChip’s hardware platforms and software solutions at our strategic partners.
Define and execute customer enablement strategy for OpenChip products (Hardware, Software and System).
Delivery of hands-on technical support and guidance to key customers during the integration, commissioning and deployment phases.
Define and deliver tooling, training, documentation, to accelerate technology integration.
Represent customer needs internally and contribute to product roadmap discussions.
Understand the technical challenges of deployment in real-world Data Center and HPC environments.
Lead cross-functional teams for critical issue resolution and deliver/report customer success metrics.
Collaborate with silicon, software, and systems teams to ensure a seamless customer experience from bring-up to production.
Grow and lead a high-performing, cross-disciplinary team of application engineers spanning AI, hardware and software domains.
Foster strong leadership within the team by mentoring engineers, driving professional growth, and creating an environment that promotes collaboration and excellence.
Requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering or a related technical field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a technical leadership or management role.
Recent hands-on experience in platform applications, systems engineering, or customer-facing technical roles.
Strong understanding of hardware/software interfaces, system integration, system bring-up, and performance tuning.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are crucial for collaborating with teams and interacting with customers.
Excellent leadership skills, with a passion for mentoring and team development.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities are necessary to identify root causes and find creative solutions for customer challenges.
The ability to understand and effectively communicate customer technical requirements and challenges to internal teams.
