About the role
- SAP Project Manager leading the planning and execution of SAP projects with a focus on S/4HANA. Driving successful business outcomes through collaboration and delivery excellence.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end delivery of SAP projects, including scope definition, planning, execution, and closure.
- Manage project budgets, timelines, resource allocation, and overall project governance.
- Drive SAP implementation, upgrade, and rollout projects (preferably S/4HANA).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including business users, functional consultants, developers, and testing teams.
- Ensure alignment with business goals and manage stakeholder expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
- Monitor risks, issues, and dependencies; implement effective mitigation and resolution plans.
- Oversee change management and ensure adherence to organizational and SAP standards.
- Ensure quality assurance processes are followed across all project phases.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the project team to ensure timely delivery of key milestones.
- Coordinate with global teams and vendors to ensure seamless project integration.
- Prepare and present project status reports and dashboards to senior management.
- Continuously improve project delivery frameworks and support SAP governance processes.
- Support to pre-sales activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Business Administration (Master’s degree preferred)
- 12+ years of total experience, with 5+ years managing SAP projects
- Proven track record of successful SAP implementations, upgrades, or rollouts
- Hands-on experience with S/4HANA projects (preferred)
- Strong understanding of SAP modules (FI/CO, MM, SD, PP, QM, HCM, etc.) and cross-functional integration
- Familiarity with SAP BTP, Cloud ALM, and testing tools such as Jira, Tosca, HP ALM, or SAP Test Suite
- Knowledge of project management methodologies – Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid
- Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Certifications preferred: PMP, Prince2, or SAP Activate Project Manager.
- Experience managing onshore-offshore delivery models and vendor coordination.
- Exposure to budget forecasting, resource planning, and portfolio-level reporting is an advantage.
