Responsibilities
Participate in the planning and execution of geotechnical investigations:
Boreholes and probing
Soil and rock sampling
Installation of observation wells and piezometers
In-situ testing (e.g., Standard Penetration Tests, permeability tests)
Supervise laboratory testing and ensure the quality of collected data.
Prepare technical reports and geotechnical analyses.
Collaborate with EXP’s multidisciplinary teams to support infrastructure, building and land-use projects.
Assist in preparing service proposals and estimating costs for geotechnical studies.
Provide technical follow-up and ensure compliance of fieldwork.
Other related duties.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in civil, geological, mining engineering or another relevant field.
Master’s degree in geotechnical engineering (an asset).
Member in good standing of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ).
Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
Knowledge of conventional geotechnical methods and soil classification.
ASP construction card.
Valid driver’s license and reliable means of transportation for site travel.
Excellent command of French, both written and spoken.
Engineer conducting structural analysis of rotor blades for wind energy plants. Responsible for design improvement, load requests in production, and certification documentation.
