About the role
- Junior Legal Counsel and Compliance Officer contributing to Daimler Truck Group's global Legal and Compliance Team. Providing legal advice and support for compliance functions in Milton Keynes.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to and cooperate with the global Legal and Compliance Team
- Participate in Truck Legal exchanges and global working groups
- Act as a role model for legal and compliance matters
- Provide legal advice and direction
- Support in Data Compliance tasks such as employee awareness and training
- Support compliance risk assessments and maintain an effective Compliance program
- Provide legal support for all commercial legal matters including drafting documents and supporting litigation
Requirements
- Law Degree or Graduate Diploma in Law
- Completion of the LPC or SQE
- UK-qualified solicitor with 0–2 years’ PQE, or ILEX-qualified or experienced paralegal candidates
- In-house experience within the financial services sector (desirable)
- Strong commercial contracts expertise
- Experience in Data Protection, AML, KYC, and sanctions compliance
- Comfort with local compliance matters on an ad hoc basis
- Fluency in spoken and written English
- Strong analytical and solution-oriented thinking
- Ability to manage projects effectively
- Intercultural awareness and understanding of relevant international and local laws
