About the role
- Senior Accountant managing accounts payable processes and financial reporting at a rapidly growing AI startup. Ensuring accuracy and compliance while streamlining accounting operations in a hybrid role.
Responsibilities
- Manage accounts payable process; this includes processing invoices, contract management, and administering our Corporate Credit Card Program & Travel & Expense Program
- Maintain our customer billing platform, Stripe, as a system of record
- Follow up on outstanding accounts and review customer disputes in a timely and professional manner to resolve billing issues
- Perform month-end closing and financial reporting activities including preparing, reviewing, and analyzing accounting entries and account reconciliations for EvenUp Inc. and its subsidiaries
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure timely and accurate financial statements aligning with GAAP
- Provide ad hoc financial analysis and respond to inquiries from internal and external stakeholders
- Support the annual financial audit processes and assist with tax filings including applicable state and local tax obligations
- Build and maintain best-in-class processes; help streamline accounting processes via automation and standardization to improve effectiveness of processes and internal controls
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance; CPA highly preferred
- 3-5+ years of professional work experience
- Experience at a Big 4 firm a plus, but not a requirement
- Highly proficient in Google Sheets/Excel
- Experience with ERP systems and accounts payable/receivable automation tools (NetSuite, Ramp, Stripe)
