About the role

  • Senior Labor Relations Analyst managing negotiation with labor unions for a construction materials company. Focusing on relationship management and legislative impacts in Brazil.

Responsibilities

  • Negotiate directly with labor unions, adhering to the company’s principles and values
  • Manage the company’s relationship with labor unions, focusing on protecting the company’s reputation and maintaining good relations with employee and employer representative bodies
  • Monitor and assess the impacts of changes in labor legislation, with emphasis on managing employment relations and labor-union relations
  • Intervene in critical situations with unions, participating directly in negotiations and union relations together with the local team at each unit
  • Support the development of contingency plans for the company’s manufacturing/production units
  • Train and develop local negotiators who will lead collective bargaining processes
  • Define and guide proactive union-related projects aimed at reducing risks and conflicts in relations among the company, employees, and unions
  • Support the People team and leadership on matters directly or indirectly related to labor-union relations
  • Represent the company before associations and professional bodies on matters related to union management, safeguarding the company’s interests
  • Assist in preparing and managing the area’s budget
  • Track market indicators related to union negotiations and trends, as well as economic impacts, providing support for defining negotiation guidelines
  • Define and guide negotiation strategies for signing various collective agreements, based on the company’s values, negotiation guidelines, and the sustainability of labor relations

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Postgraduate degree preferred
  • Knowledge of labor legislation
  • Proven experience in labor-union negotiations
  • Certifications in HR processes, preferably emphasizing Compensation and Employee Engagement/Climate Management, are desirable
  • Willingness to travel
  • Valid Category B driver’s license
