About the role
- Field Service Technician I providing on-site service and maintenance for energy systems products. Responsible for installation, repair, and customer relationships in West Coast locations.
Responsibilities
- Shadow experienced technician on service calls.
- Perform basic equipment checks
- Travel to customer sites to assist with installation and repair of equipment.
- Under supervision, perform preventative maintenance tasks to ensure optimal equipment performance and longevity.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships by providing timely, efficient, and professional service.
- Effectively communicate with internal teams to ensure seamless customer support and service delivery.
- Act as a liaison between the customer and the company to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including OSHA, DOT Hazmat, and ISO9000 standards.
- Operate material handling equipment safely and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Maintain accurate records of service calls, maintenance activities, and customer interactions.
Requirements
- Basic mathematical, and mechanical aptitude; foundational electrical knowledge (Aptitude exam is part of application process; 70% passing score required)
- Must hold a valid electrical license or be willing to obtain an electrical trainee card as a condition of employment, in accordance with industry requirements
- Availability to work non-standard hours in a 24/7 work week.
- Ability to lift 75 lbs. and carry equipment, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces
- Ability to perform physical tasks, such as bending, stooping, and kneeling.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record for insurability.
