Responsibilities
- Prepare DCS proposals for power industry projects, including new generation, retrofits, renewable power applications, and datacenter/AI‑focused solutions.
- Define proposal strategies that align with customer requirements, organizational goals, and market insights.
- Collaborate across teams to validate technical feasibility, engineering requirements, and cost‑effective solutions.
- Engage directly with customers to communicate Emerson’s capabilities and understand application needs.
- Develop optimal project cost structures that mitigate technical risk and strengthen competitive positioning.
- Support presentations, interviews, and negotiations using deep understanding of customer applications and industry competition.
- Partner effectively with sales, engineering, project teams, and global offices as needed to deliver cohesive proposal packages.
Requirements
- BS degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related STEM field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
- Ability to travel up to 15% of the time.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States. Sponsorship will not be provided for this position.
- Experience with control systems such as PLC, DCS, or SCADA.
- Knowledge of or experience with the Ovation™ DCS platform.
- Background in proposal development, cost estimating, or project engineering.
- Experience working with datacenter applications or customers.
