Field Engineer optimizing power plant processes for Emerson's Power and Water Solutions team. Managing resources, providing advanced process tuning, and ensuring project performance targets.
Responsibilities
Provide advanced process tuning for Boiler or BOP processes.
Work with plant operations teams to ensure effective tuning of plant processes for optimized productivity of steam and electricity.
Develop and implement startup and tuning activities for major retrofit projects.
Generate and store tuning reports for all site tuning.
Work with stimulation group to startup and tune high fidelity systems for different customer units.
Conduct site acceptance and performance testing for major retrofit projects to meet contractual performance targets.
Provide project management on large projects during installation, start-up, or where it is required to supervise subcontractors.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical degree.
A minimum of eight (8) years of field engineering related experience.
Strong understanding of power plant operation and controls.
Strong understanding of control schemes for Boiler and Turbine on conventional and combined cycle plants as well as water treatment and renewable power generating facilities.
Demonstrated experience tuning conventional, combined cycle, or renewable plants.
Willingness and ability to travel 80% of time, primarily in North America.
Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
