About the role
- Lead Developer managing an agile software development team at ehotel AG. Delivering modern software solutions and ensuring code quality in a hybrid work environment.
Responsibilities
- Technical and organizational leadership of an agile development team
- Active participation in software development (hands-on coding, code reviews, architectural decisions)
- Responsibility for code quality, maintainability and the ongoing development of our software solutions
- Planning and management of development projects in close coordination with our Product Management and executive leadership
- Promoting the professional development of the team through coaching, mentoring and knowledge transfer
- Introduction and enforcement of modern development standards, tools and processes (e.g., CI/CD, automated testing)
- Acting as an interface with other IT departments and external partners
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics or a comparable qualification
- Several years of professional experience in software development, ideally with initial leadership experience
- Strong quality awareness and experience in code reviews as well as software architecture
- Excellent knowledge of Java and an IDE such as Eclipse, Spring Boot, REST services, microservices, PostgreSQL, Hibernate, Elasticsearch
- Web knowledge in HTML, CSS, JavaScript and MVC frameworks is a plus
- Experience with agile development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)
- Strong communication skills, team spirit and high self-motivation
- Excellent German and English skills.
