About the role
- Senior Analyst responsible for the analysis and evolution of legacy systems in IBM z/OS environment. Engaging with technical requirements and documentation for platform migration.
Responsibilities
- Gather and analyze technical and functional requirements for the z/OS environment
- Map legacy systems, applications, source code and databases
- Identify interdependencies, risks and critical system points
- Propose technical solutions and support testing and acceptance
- Produce clear technical documentation to support future platform migration
- Work together with infrastructure, database and production teams
- Analyze and propose performance improvements for legacy source code and databases
- Manage and optimize IBM DB2 databases
Requirements
- Strong experience in systems analysis within the IBM z/OS environment
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field
- Proven knowledge in:
- COBOL
- Batch processing (JCL/PROCs)
- CA Endevor or CA Changeman (version control)
- IBM DB2
- IMS/DB and IMS/TM
- VSAM and QSAM files
- CICS (transactional environment)
- Control-M (job scheduling/orchestration)
- TSO/ISPF
- Desirable knowledge:
- Data modeling and technical solution design
- CSP/AD (Cross System Product / Application Development)
- XPEDITER (debugging)
- Natural/ADABAS, Assembler, CA-ROSCOE, CA-Easytrieve Plus
- Experience in legacy migration or modernization projects
- Performance analysis with APA (IBM Application Performance Analyzer)
