About the role
- NQ Solicitor for Motor cases joining DWF's growing Motor team in Glasgow or Edinburgh. Handling varied caseloads and assisting senior members under a hybrid model.
Responsibilities
- Ensuring that cases are progressed quickly and efficiently
- Strong technical ability with principles, case law, and litigation
- Working with clients to manage cases per service level agreements and best practices
- Prioritizing work effectively and maximizing efficiency
- Building stakeholder relationships internally and externally
- Developing technical and commercial knowledge via training or work practices
Requirements
- Experience handling own caseload of pre-litigated and Sheriff Court actions
- Assisting senior team members with large value, complex files
- Experience managing Motor and/or Road Traffic Accident (RTA) cases
- Insurance defender litigation experience is essential
- Potential consideration for claimant litigation experience for the right candidate
- Experience handling litigation in Motor, Road Traffic Accident (RTA), Personal Injury or Serious Injury
- Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships and to work effectively under pressure
