About the role
- Claims Adjuster responsible for managing US Casualty and Property reinsurance claims. Working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders in a remote role with occasional office travel.
Responsibilities
- Day-to-day handling of a portfolio of US Casualty and US Property claims
- Coverage analysis, investigation, evaluation, reserving and settlement
- Ensure reserving philosophy is adhered to
- Collaborate with Underwriting and Actuarial teams
- Build and maintain relationships with brokers and market peers
- Monitor trends and legal developments
Requirements
- Some previous experience within the Insurance industry
- Excellent analytical skills
- Problem-solving and sound judgments
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Ability to operate collaboratively and independently
- Familiar with London Market systems such as Write-Back / ECF2 and DOCOsoft
- Previous claims experience within the Reinsurance industry
- Experience with US Casualty and US Property claims would be advantageous
- Proficient with all Microsoft products particularly Excel
