About the role
- Claims Specialist I handling auto and general liability claims at AIG. Investigating, evaluating, and resolving claims with a focus on customer service and timely resolution.
Responsibilities
- Investigate, evaluate and resolve Commercial General Liability and Auto Liability claims
- Responsible for the end-to-end management of claims, from initial investigation to final settlement
- Conduct thorough investigations into claim facts
- Determine liability for both Auto and General Liability scenarios
- Establish and maintain accurate claim reserves
- Negotiate fair settlements within designated authority levels
- Ensure claims are handled in strict accordance with state regulations and company best practices
Requirements
- A minimum of 4 years of active claims handling experience
- Proven track record in managing both Auto and General Liability claims
- Must hold a valid Adjuster’s License in all jurisdictions or ability to obtain within 6 months
- Strong organizational skills and detail oriented
- Exceptional negotiation skills and the ability to convey complex information to claimants and stakeholders with empathy and clarity.
