About the role
- Internship in R&D focusing on web application development for fire department software at Dräger. Involvement in data analytics, API testing, and reporting tasks.
Responsibilities
- Create test data for QA and development systems for Drägerware.ZMS, specifically: generate anonymized or pseudonymized test data from production data or create data from scratch using a domain-specific language (DSL) to be developed
- Introduce API integration tests for the new REST API
- Evaluate and build a prototype BI tool to analyze existing raw data
- Evaluate and create a prototype Excel report based on raw data
- Depending on the requirements of the department and the internship tasks, we offer the possibility of partial remote work
Requirements
- Enrolled in Computer Science, Software Development (at least 4th semester), or a comparable degree program
- Preferably some experience in object-oriented programming with Java or Python
- Preferably some experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL)
- Preferably basic knowledge of REST APIs (REST, HTTP protocol, etc.)
- Preferably initial experience in data science or a strong interest in becoming a data scientist
- Preferably basic Excel skills (preparing raw data in Excel via e.g., C# or similar)
- Good English skills are desirable
- Independent, solution-oriented working style and a commitment to implementing your own ideas
