Responsibilities
- Develop long-term value-adding supplier and relationship strategies for critical suppliers
- Translate functional objectives into specific category strategies
- Develop annual plans in liaison with Business Partners, Category Head and Sourcing teams
- Lead the management of complex supplier contracts, operational reviews, and in-contract negotiations
- Identify emerging risks and issues in relation to existing controls
- Ensure risks identified are actioned and addressed to a satisfactory level
- Attend the Category Sourcing Committee as requested
- Lead on commercial management and projects
- Engage with Business Partners and develop stakeholder networks and management approaches
- Manage sourcing and/or commercial managers as required
- Develop coaching relationships at all levels
Requirements
- Experience in a commercial contract management role
- Sound contract knowledge
- Good grasp on principles of Category Management and Category Planning
- Experience in managing material outsource and/or offshore suppliers (not essential but highly desirable)
- Ability to work with suppliers to resolve commercial issues
- Excellent contract and compliance knowledge
- Excellent stakeholder management skills.
