Responsibilities
Design, configure, and deploy network solutions including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers
Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues to ensure maximum uptime
Perform routine maintenance, updates, and patches on network equipment
Maintain detailed network documentation including diagrams, configurations, and procedures
Manage network capacity planning and recommend infrastructure improvements
Implement and maintain network security measures including firewalls, VPNs, and access controls
Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments
Respond to security incidents and implement remediation measures
Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements
Provide tier 2/3 technical support for network-related issues
Collaborate with IT teams, vendors, and partners on projects and initiatives
Lead or contribute to network infrastructure projects and upgrades
Recommend new technologies and solutions
Develop and implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans
Requirements
3+ years of hands-on experience in network engineering or administration
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience
Experience with enterprise-level network environments
Knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, MPLS)
Proficiency with network hardware from vendors such as Cisco, Juniper, Arista, or Palo Alto
Experience with network monitoring and management tools
Understanding of network security principles and best practices
Familiarity with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
Knowledge of scripting languages (Python, Bash, or PowerShell) for automation
Certifications CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent certification preferred
Additional certifications (CompTIA Network+, JNCIA, or security certifications) preferred.
