About the role
- R&D software engineer developing C++/Qt applications for Delair’s drone technologies. Collaborating on software development cycle and ensuring adherence to quality standards in new features.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to impact analysis for new features, define architectures and technical solutions, make implementation choices, and estimate workloads
- Participate in defining test and validation protocols for new features
- Develop features in C++/Qt in compliance with technical requirements, schedules, and quality standards
- Conduct code reviews to ensure conformity with functional and technical requirements and with applicable quality procedures
- Contribute to the preparation of technical documentation (architecture, implementation decisions, best practices)
- Participate in deployment and commissioning of software solutions
- Identify, analyze, and fix defects within a continuous improvement mindset
- Maintain active technological watch to propose improvements and innovations
Requirements
- Degree in computer engineering or equivalent
- 5 to 10 years of experience in software development, ideally on complex and constrained systems
- Solid experience in cross-platform C++ development (Windows, Linux, Android)
- Good command of the Qt framework for developing rich user interfaces
- Knowledge of GIS (Geographic Information Systems), including libraries such as GDAL and geo-referenced data formats (GeoTIFF, KML, GeoJSON, SRTM, etc.)
- Experience in image and/or video processing with tools such as OpenCV and GStreamer
- Familiarity with 3D is a plus
- Proficiency in network communications (radio, TCP sockets, web services)
- Experience setting up unit and integration tests, as well as simulation environments
- DevOps practices: CI/CD, management and maintenance of multi-platform build pipelines
