Data Governance Lead ensuring compliance and data quality within Davy's financial services. Collaborating on governance policies and leading data quality initiatives across the organization.
Responsibilities
Assist with the implementation of data governance policies to ensure compliance to regulatory requirements
Collaborate with all areas of the organisation to develop and implement practical solutions and drive data governance best practices.
Lead data quality initiatives for key datasets (risk, finance, customer, product)
Capture data lineage and documentation for critical reporting
Support the business glossary, critical data element definitions, and data catalogue processes
Participate in projects and deliver ad hoc tasks as required.
Requirements
5+ years data governance experience, ideally in a financial services environment
Strong understanding of data governance, controls, and regulatory requirements (e.g., BCBS 239, the GDPR, EU AI Act)
A high degree of proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Visio, Word, and PowerPoint.
Experience with data and data governance tools is an advantage, e.g. SQL. Snowflake, Power BI, Informatica, OneTrust, Purview.
Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple deliverables and meet strict deadlines.
Excellent attention to detail.
Ability to prioritise workload effectively.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to deliver complex information clearly and professionally.
Proactive and collaborative approach, with confidence to build relationships and engage stakeholders across the organisation.
