Insurance Counselor providing education and guidance on health insurance to patients at DaVita clinics. Focusing on Medicare options and resolving patient issues with insurance.
Responsibilities
Travel to DaVita clinics in Houston, Texas and other surrounding areas to provide education and guidance to patients about health insurance
Act as a liaison between patients, facility teammates, billing office and the corporate office to resolve patient insurance issues and/or concerns
Assist Medicare patients with understanding their Chronic Special Needs Plan, Medicare, and Medicare Advantage options
Manage and update tracking tools as appropriate
Provide monthly reporting and analysis on key metrics related to patient education and advocacy
Requirements
Candidate must reside in Houston, or the surrounding area
Valid driver’s license within the state you are applying is required, with an acceptable driving record
Ability to squat and walk and stand for more than 15 minutes and must be okay with the sight of blood.
Proactively build relationships with patients
Provide high-level of customer service to ensure patient questions or issues are addressed effectively
Experience in Insurance Counseling, knowledge of Medicare, and Medicare Advantage options
