About the role
- Level 2 Systems Engineer managing technical support across multiple client environments in a fast-paced MSP. Collaborating with a small team while providing advanced troubleshooting and solutions.
Responsibilities
- Provide advanced troubleshooting and root-cause resolution across Windows desktops, servers, networks, and cloud services.
- Support Microsoft 365, Azure AD, and common SaaS platforms.
- Manage tickets escalated from Level 1 and serve as the primary point of contact for higher-complexity issues.
- Perform routine system maintenance, updates, and monitoring across client infrastructures.
- Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot firewalls, switches, and VPNs.
- Assist with onboarding of new clients, including environment assessments and documentation.
- Deploy and support backup solutions, security tools, and remote monitoring systems.
- Collaborate with senior engineers on project-based work such as server deployments, migrations, and modernization initiatives.
Requirements
- A strong Level 2 engineer with 3–5+ years of experience in IT support and systems administration.
- MSP background strongly preferred, including familiarity with ticketing, SLAs and multi-client environments.
- Solid experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS/DHCP, and virtualization (Hyper-V or VMware).
- Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 administration, Azure AD, and modern cloud-based solutions.
- Comfort with networking fundamentals, including firewalls and switching (SonicWall, UniFi, Fortinet, or similar).
- A problem-solver who thrives in a dynamic environment, communicates clearly, and enjoys helping clients.
