About the role
- Project manager for energy sector construction projects at PME Projectmanagement & Engineering in Leipzig. Leading project planning and execution for biogas and power plants.
Responsibilities
- Assume project management responsibility for new construction and retrofit projects in the energy sector (e.g., biogas plants, power plants), including cost and resource planning
- Act as the client’s on-site representative
- Independently manage construction projects from planning and permitting through execution, commissioning and documentation
- Responsible for meeting deadlines and budgets and for achieving project objectives during project execution
- Primary point of contact for contractors, engineering firms, assessors and authorities
Requirements
- Degree in Energy Engineering, Process Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Plant Engineering, or a comparable qualification, or qualification as a state-certified technician
- Practical experience as a project manager or project engineer in plant engineering
- Basic knowledge of construction and environmental law, contract law, and VOB (German Construction Contract Procedures)
- Technical know-how in renewable energies, particularly biogas plants, is an advantage
- Proficient use of MS Office products
- Very good German language skills, both written and spoken
- Possession of a valid Class B driving licence
