About the role
- Cyber Security Engineer acting as a Technical Lead at a renowned Swiss consulting firm in IT security. Focusing on Kubernetes infrastructures, security monitoring, and automation.
Responsibilities
- Management and automation of Kubernetes infrastructures with a focus on security aspects within a DevSecOps environment
- Responsibility for the administration and continuous optimization of Cloudflare-based protection solutions
- Integration, operation and maintenance of systems for security monitoring and automated incident response (SIEM/SOAR)
- Development and maintenance of automation scripts (Ansible)
- Responsibility for all Linux-related security topics, including system hardening
- Creation and maintenance of scripts in Bash and Python to automate recurring tasks
- Deployment, configuration and operation of security solutions such as Microsoft Defender and Trend Micro for Linux-based systems
- Collaboration with other departments in the execution of security assessments
Requirements
- University degree in Computer Science, IT Security or a comparable qualification
- Strong programming skills in Python and Bash
- In-depth knowledge in the DevOps area, especially experience with Kubernetes and Ansible
- Extensive hands-on experience with Linux systems (e.g. CentOS, RHEL, Ubuntu)
- Demonstrable experience with SIEM and/or SOAR solutions, such as Microsoft Sentinel, Elastic SIEM or Splunk
- Practical experience with Cloudflare and a solid understanding of modern security concepts for web applications
- Familiarity with security solutions such as Trend Micro and/or Defender for Linux
- Strong teamwork skills, self-motivation and a structured way of working
- Confident and persuasive communication skills – both in German and in English
