About the role

Responsibilities
- Secure IT environments & implement security standards
- Analyze and harden existing infrastructures (network, servers, clients, cloud)
- Design and implement security policies, firewall rules, and access control concepts
- Maintain and further develop existing security solutions (e.g., Endpoint Protection, EDR, VPN, M365 Security)
- Vulnerability management & perform security assessments
- Detect threats & manage security incidents
- Monitor security-relevant events, logs & alerts (e.g., FortiAnalyzer)
- Raise team awareness through security-awareness initiatives and provide clear recommended actions
- Work independently, systematically & solution-oriented
- Lead independent project work related to IT security topics (internal & with customers)
- Collaborate with the admin team, management, and, if applicable, external partners
- Continuously advance the security strategy — with technical depth and strategic foresight
Requirements
- Education or degree in IT, ideally with a focus on IT security
- Professional experience in IT administration or cyber security
- Solid knowledge in network security, firewalls, Windows security, and M365 Security
- Experience with security solutions such as EDR/XDR, IDS/IPS, SIEM is an advantage
- Analytical thinking, structured working style & discretion/confidentiality
- Very good German language skills, both written and spoken
