About the role

• Project Manager overseeing procurement and contractor onboarding for design and build projects in the construction sector. This role is remote with site visits flexibility and requires security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of the main works scope for the design and build of the new facility.
• Assist with the procurement, selection and onboarding of contractors and subcontractors to complete the work scopes.
• Responsible for the onboarding and mobilisation of the contractor once a main contractor has been awarded the contract, which includes the development of the construction phasing, logistics, laydown areas, stakeholder interface and construction planning works, as well as design-related activities.
• Understand the Client and Joint Venture Partners' Health, Safety, Environment and Sustainability Policies, processes and statutory requirements as they affect the project’s operations and ensure compliance in the tender process and design.

Requirements

• Degree level/HNC/HND qualification in Civil Engineering or project management (or equivalent experience)
• Experience at a similar level on a major project or in a highly regulated environment.
• Demonstrable experience of procurement/tender processes for significant contract or subcontract packages.
• Experience managing subcontract packages, including programme and commercial aspects.
• Technical knowledge of construction techniques and best practice.
• IT competence (MS Word, Excel, Document control system).
• Experience working in a nuclear environment.
• NEC3/4 contract experience.
