About the role
- Lead CAD/BIM Engineer providing technical leadership for the Strategic Pipeline Alliance on major infrastructure projects in the UK.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership in the creation, coordination, quality assurance and progressive assurance of intelligent Civils 3D models.
- Oversee modelling standards, workflows, and digital delivery compliance across the programme.
- Support, mentor and guide BIM Engineers, ensuring high‑quality, fully attributed design models that meet SPA and ISO 19650 requirements.
- Participate in Design Reviews and coordinate with BIM Engineers across the programme.
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement in Health & Safety (H&S), ensuring consistent H&S standards are maintained.
Requirements
- Advanced Civils 3D capability (corridors, pipe networks, sub-assemblies, assemblies, surfaces, grading)
- Demonstrable experience delivering complex linear infrastructure models.
- Experience leading model teams in a major infrastructure environment.
- Experience governing ISO 19650-compliant workflows.
- Strong understanding of construction, sequencing and digital rehearsal (4D).
- Experience with ACC (Design Collaboration, Model Coordination, Reviews)
- Ability to automate repetitive tasks (Dynamo, scripts, .NET add-ins if applicable).
