Responsibilities
- Perform Customs business activities
- Responsible for transactions with U.S. Customs (CBP) concerning the entry and admissibility of merchandise
- Conduct effective research and communicate with clients and CBP
- Manage Customs entries, monitor clearance, and maintain recordkeeping
- Review Customs documents to ensure accuracy
- Verify classification and valuation with importers
- Ensure compliance with customs regulations
- Obtain necessary documents to support claims
- Timely payment of duties and charges
- Monitor and track customs clearances and resolve issues
- Coordinate with internal teams, clients, brokers, and agencies
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of customs regulations and procedures
- Attend trainings and support compliance procedures
Requirements
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in Customs brokerage
- Strong knowledge of customs regulations, processes, and documentation
- Attention to detail and accuracy in customs declarations and record-keeping
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
- Experience with ACE Secure Data Portal
- Fluent in English (oral and written)
- Proficient in using customs management software and systems
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
