Responsibilities
- Build, structure, and continuously evolve AWS organizations, including account structures, policies, and guardrails — following best practices
- Contribute to network architecture: from VPC design through subnets and routing to connectivity and security concepts
- Plan and execute migrations of existing virtual machines to modern, container-based platforms (ECS/EKS)
- Model, automate, and operate complex cloud infrastructures using Terraform and Terragrunt
- Build, enhance, and operate CI/CD pipelines for cloud deployments — with a focus on ECS/EKS and GitOps approaches (e.g., ArgoCD)
Requirements
- Degree in computer science, equivalent training, or substantial practical experience in cloud environments
- Several years of experience with AWS, container platforms, and automation
- Ideally experience migrating applications to the cloud, especially .NET applications
- Structured, pragmatic working style with a strong team orientation, enjoyment of collaborative problem solving (e.g., pair programming), collaboration with development teams, and experience working with Kanban processes
- Good German language skills for daily collaboration within the team and confident English skills for technical coordination
- Programming or scripting skills in C#, Python, or Go (Golang); experience with deployment and CI/CD tools such as Octopus Deploy, ArgoCD, or GitLab CI
