About the role
- IT Network and Firewall Administrator managing network and firewall infrastructures for cloud services. Supporting various IT systems in a hybrid work environment based in Freiburg.
Responsibilities
- Planning, operation and further development of network and firewall infrastructures
- Administration of Linux systems or Microsoft Azure, Windows Server and Active Directory
- Providing 2nd-level support and assisting with technical inquiries
- Conducting fault analyses and performance optimizations
- Participating in IT security projects and audits
- Taking part in on-call rotations to ensure operational availability
Requirements
- Completed IT training, degree in Computer Science or equivalent qualification
- Several years of experience in network administration and firewall management
- Solid knowledge of routing, switching, VPN, VLAN, OSPF, BGP, TCP/IP
- Experience with Microsoft Azure, PowerShell, or Linux and corresponding server infrastructures
- Independent and structured working style
- Excellent German skills (at least C1) and good English skills
