Hardware Applications Engineer supporting Cirrus Logic's boosted audio amplifier products. Responsible for customer account engineering support, design review, and cross-functional collaboration in Taipei.
Responsibilities
Win and maintain customer account by providing direct engineering support for Cirrus Logic customers and field application engineers
Support the design and review of customers PCB schematics and layouts
Execute customer-application focused data collection and circuit analysis
Lead the design of the customer development boards required for the productization of new audio amplifier products
Develop customer collateral such as application notes and tech reports
Communicate and collaborate effectively with cross functional teams around the world to support customer requests. This includes working with IC Design engineers, Systems engineers, Validation engineers, Test Engineers, Software engineers, and others
Partner with Marketing and Field teams to promote new products during customer visits and conferences
Lead customer and field team technical trainings
Autonomously handle and prioritize tasks with strong sense of ownership and high sense of urgency
Requirements
BS in Electrical Engineering, MS preferred, with 5+ years experience in the acoustic industry
Experience with audio amplifiers and power electronics
Proven experience debugging customer system level issues
Experience with circuit board schematic and layout design
Strong hands-on experience analyzing and evaluating audio products with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, signal generators, Audio Precision analyzers, logic analyzers, and spectrum analyzers
Strong ability to clearly communicate both verbally and in writing
Proven experience debugging customer issues
Demonstrated aptitude in understanding of various industry interface standards such as I2C, SPI, I2S or high speed control/data bus
Familiarity with scripting/programming language such as Python or similar
Serve as a technical expert in CFD tools helping customers realize their value. Deliver software demonstrations, training, and support as part of a collaborative team.
