About the role
- Senior Consultant managing regulatory and audit activities for CIBC’s Technology Infrastructure and Innovation business. Collaborating across teams to ensure compliance with US regulations and enhance audit management programs.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage all US regulatory requests for information, regulatory and audit examinations, special projects, and ad-hoc deliverables
- Ensure all US regulatory and audit engagements are tracked, coordinated, and completed efficiently
- Simultaneously handle numerous initiatives and deadlines
- Work closely with internal stakeholders in Canada and the US
- Prepare clear, concise, and impactful documentation for executive management, regulators, internal audit, and other stakeholders
- Act as a trusted advisor, providing guidance on regulatory and audit requirements
- Identify opportunities to enhance the Regulatory and Audit Management Programs
- Develop and deliver training sessions
- Track developments, analyze trends, and provide regular updates to senior leadership
- Oversee the remediation of regulatory issues
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in financial services
- Background in Compliance, Risk Management, Project Delivery, and/or Internal Audit
- Deep knowledge and experience in US regulatory principles, practices, and policies relevant to the financial industry
- Exceptional communication and critical thinking skills
