About the role

  • Data Engineer specializing in FICO platform implementation and decision management strategies. Leading data integration and compliance efforts while collaborating with business areas.

Responsibilities

  • Implement decision rules, strategies, and models within the FICO tool (Decision Management, Blaze Advisor, or similar).
  • Create and tune decision flows, scorecards, and credit policies according to business requirements.
  • Ensure that rules are aligned with regulatory policies and internal guidelines.
  • Prepare and transform data for consumption by the tool, ensuring compliance with required formats.
  • Work with semi-structured data (JSON) for integration via APIs or connectors.
  • Validate the quality of data used in decision-making processes.
  • Perform unit and functional testing of implemented rules.
  • Validate and obtain sign-off for flows and strategies with business stakeholders.
  • Ensure performance and scalability of solutions.
  • Document rules, flows, and integrations clearly and accessibly.
  • Maintain a history of changes and ensure compliance with internal standards.

Requirements

  • Experience with FICO platforms (Decision Management, Blaze Advisor, or similar).
  • Rule languages and decision logic (for example, Java or FICO-specific languages).
  • Strongly desirable knowledge of PySpark and SQL for data manipulation when needed.
  • Familiarity with REST APIs and JSON formats for integration.
  • Basic knowledge of DevOps pipelines for continuous deployment.
  • Understanding of credit, risk, and compliance policies.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into automated rules.
  • Clear technical and functional documentation skills.
  • Good communication skills for interaction with business and IT areas.
  • Analytical thinking to tune rules and strategies.
  • Ability to identify inconsistencies and propose quick solutions.
