Responsibilities
- Define and implement the architecture for metadata management, data cataloging, and AI-driven governance frameworks, focusing on unstructured and semi-structured data.
- Architect scalable solutions across multi-cloud environments (Azure, AWS) and modern data technologies, including Snowflake, DBT, Databricks, and Fivetran.
- Develop automation solutions and optimize SDLC processes for data workflows, including building CI/CD pipelines and streamlining engineering operations.
- Drive integration of AI capabilities into governance processes, leveraging models to tag, classify, and monitor data for compliance and usability.
- Collaborate with data engineers, SREs, business intelligence, and data science teams to align architecture solutions with business goals and organizational strategies.
Requirements
- BS/BA degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 15+ years of experience in technical roles, with significant exposure to data platform architecture and solution delivery.
- 10+ years of combined experience in software engineering and data architecture.
- Expertise in logical data modeling, metadata management, and scalable architecture for structured and unstructured data.
- Advanced experience with data governance frameworks, particularly in deploying automated governance for unstructured datasets.
- Strong proficiency in modern data tools (Snowflake, dbt, Databricks, Fivetran) and multi-cloud environments (Azure, AWS).
- Operational knowledge of AI tools and frameworks, such as GPT-based solutions, with experience integrating AI into pipelines and governance workflows.
