About the role

Responsibilities
- Experimenting with LLMs, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) and other advanced approaches to improve matching, ranking and recommendations
- Building, testing and deploying production-ready models – from forecasting and NLP to classification and MMM – that power our core marketplace systems
- Working closely with Engineering, Product, Analytics and BI to ensure models are scalable, observable and delivering measurable impact
- Embedding AI and data science into everyday workflows so intelligence shapes every customer and trade experience
- Helping define how we responsibly experiment, evaluate and ship ethical AI through our internal AI playbook
Requirements
- Strong applied experience with SQL, Python, and modern ML frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow and Hugging Face
- A proven track record of building and deploying production-grade machine learning models
- Comfort moving between rapid experimentation and rigorous model evaluation
- A pragmatic mindset – knowing when to fine-tune, when to use off-the-shelf models, and when simple beats complex
- Curiosity, creativity and a genuine drive to turn data into tangible, measurable impact
