About the role

  • Service Training Consultant creating and delivering training solutions for Cat technologies. Collaborating with dealers and product groups to ensure comprehensive learning initiatives aligned with organizational goals.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct Cat Technology Training: Deliver hands-on and theoretical training for various Cat Technologies (Grade Control, Remote Control, Autonomy, etc.) to dealers and Customers.
  • Collaborate with dealers, customers, Demonstration & Learning Centers (DLC’s), and the worldwide technology instructor team to lead the coordination of training events.
  • Ensure participants understand the operating principles, maintenance/ repair requirements, and best practices for each technology.
  • Guide participants in system diagnostics, troubleshooting, and optimization.
  • Learning Solutions Development: Lead the development of customized training solutions in partnership with the machine & technology product groups.
  • Ensure that learning materials are up to date with the latest machine models, technologies, and system enhancements.
  • Develop both instructor led and e-learning content, tailored to meet various learner needs.

  • Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
  • Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
  • Relationship Management: Knowledge of relationship management techniques; ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with clients, vendors, and peers.
  • Extensive experience installing and troubleshooting Cat technologies such as Grade Control, Remote Control, and Autonomy.
  • Delivering training on complex topics to dealers, customers, or internal audiences.
  • Associate’s degree in a technical field or minimum 5 years technical experience servicing Caterpillar equipment and technology.
  • Working knowledge of Caterpillar Systems such as SIS, PRWB, VisionLink, E.T., etc.
  • Familiar using Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and 3D Mockup and SAP 3D software.
  • Mining and or Construction Industry product application experience.
  • Caterpillar Instructor Accreditation Program (CIAP).
  • Proven ability to adjust and effectively train multi-cultural audiences.
  • Positive attitude of responsibility, safety and keeping standards high.
  • Passionate about people development.
  • Spanish or other language capabilities are a plus.
