About the role
- AML Quality Assurance Analyst designing and enhancing AML procedures for a multi-asset broker. Conducting reviews and assessments for compliance in the financial markets.
Responsibilities
- Design, review, and enhance the AML policies and procedures across the Group.
- Conduct Gap Analyses in line with updates to regulatory frameworks, circulars, and publications to identify weaknesses, and areas for enhancement.
- Assess the adequacy, effectiveness, and robustness of the organisation’s AML/CFT framework and internal controls.
- Perform independent quality control reviews, thematic reviews, and risk-based testing of AML processes.
- Design and execute AML testing and monitoring programs across all areas of the AML function.
- Recommend improvements to systems, controls, and processes and appropriately escalate findings.
- Support internal and external AML Group Audits and track audit findings and remediation actions.
- Ensure effective implementation and ongoing optimization of systems and technological tools implemented by the AML function.
- Review and maintain AML control matrices, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and internal standards.
- Monitor regulatory developments and ensure policies and control frameworks remain up to date.
Requirements
- BSc/BA in Legal, Finance, Business or relevant field.
- ACCA/ACA qualification will be considered as an advantage.
- 2+ years’ experience in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of AML/CFT laws, regulations, and industry best practices.
- Experience in conducting gap analysis and thematic reviews.
- Open to creative solutions and business innovation.
- Industry related experience within a role of a multi-regulated investment firm will be considered as an advantage.
- Preferably holding AML CySEC certificate.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Greek.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
