About the role
- Mine Planning Engineer responsible for developing underground mine designs and schedules for Evolution Mining. Collaborating with planning, scheduling, and underground operations teams for efficient execution.
Responsibilities
- Developing, maintaining and optimising medium-term underground mine designs and schedules
- Conceiving and producing detailed lateral and vertical development designs
- Owning and producing area and level design notes
- Liaising with key stakeholders to deliver designs aligned to the mine plan and schedule
- Providing input into short-, medium- and long-term design and scheduling activities
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date design databases reflecting changes in priorities and plans
Requirements
- Degree in Mine Engineer or similar
- Underground mine planning experience
- Experience across core mine planning activities
- Mine planning software experience, with Deswik advantageous
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- A team-focused approach with the ability to develop toward broader scheduling responsibilities
