  • Cyber Security Engineer supporting a new Department of Defense contract. Responsible for information security, system accreditation, and compliance with security requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as information security specialist
  • Review all software, hardware, and infrastructure changes on the contracts
  • Follow the risk management framework process to support system accreditation
  • Continuous monitoring and security mitigation
  • Maintain security documentation
  • Review audit logs and create mitigation plans
  • Use forensic tools for attack reconstructions
  • Work with development teams on security certificates and firewall connection requests
  • Implement and improve DevSecOps processes
  • Conduct security planning and assessment

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in information systems, systems engineering, electrical engineering, information technology, or related field
  • 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Expertise with DOD/IC system security control requirements
  • Expert level knowledge of system security engineering principles and IT technologies such as firewalls, encryption, and proxies
