Conduct internal audits for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Assess financial accuracy and operational integrity across global Church operations.
Responsibilities
The person in this position has responsibility to perform audits for the purpose of providing reasonable assurance that sacred contributions received, expenditures made, and safeguarding of Church assets have been recorded and administered in accordance with approved Church budgets, policies, and accounting practices.
Auditing employees provide independent assurance regarding financial and operational matters, internal controls, and assertions made by management in carrying out the mission of the Church.
The Senior Auditor 3 performs internal audits of Domestic and International Church operations. The audits assigned represent a high level complexity in terms of the types of issues being audited.
Requirements
Licensed CPA in any state.
Bachelor's Degree in accounting, finance or other applicable degree. Master’s Degree preferred.
Have 2–8 years of auditing experience or equivalent experience as an internal auditor, with experience auditing organizations of higher education preferred.
Available to travel to exciting places throughout the world a few times each year.
Strong analytical skills.
Excellent written communication and presentation skills.
Energy to focus on enhancing and optimizing Church entities, set and accomplish personal and engagement goals, and explore solutions in a team environment.
Member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (worthy of a temple recommend).
