About the role

  • Special Process Quality Auditor performing audits in special process areas for aerospace. Ensuring compliance with NADCAP and customer requirements at various manufacturing sites.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct onsite audits in special process areas: Calibration, Heat Treat, Machining, Chemical Processing/Plating, Thermal Spray, Welding, Shot Peening
  • Perform audits per NADCAP / customer requirements using NADCAP and customer-specific checklists
  • Document opportunities and findings against noncompliance’s
  • Work with sites to ensure robust corrective actions are completed on time and effective

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or associate’s degree and five (5) years in a technical field
  • High School diploma and ten (10) years heat treating experience in Aerospace Quality or Special Process Experience
  • NADCAP (National Aerospace and Defense Contractors Accreditation Program) Knowledge and experience
  • Demonstration of Special Process family technical knowledge/experience validated in writing by the applicable CAA
  • 40 hours of Quality System training, auditing and use of Acceptance Checklists (AC)
  • Complete a minimum of one Special Process training audit under the direction of a qualified CAA, CA (Certified Assessor), SCA (if authorized by the CAA) or Aerospace Network Auditor
