About the role
- Director of Accounting Policy managing a team and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. Collaborating with finance leaders and external auditors in the United States.
Responsibilities
- Partner with Business leads and Controller leadership to assess overall strategies and determine how accounting rules impact business decisions
- Lead well managed and controlled activities over operational process that require high level of accounting judgement
- Monitor accounting standard updates and regulator interpretations of accounting
- Communicate complex matters in a simple way to Controller and other business leaders
- Research accounting issues, prepare write-ups and drive results; draft and/or review financial reporting documentation and regulatory filings for accuracy
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or military experience
- At least 10 years of accounting experience
- At least 3 years of experience in Public Accounting, Treasury Accounting, Accounting Policy, OR a combination
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification (Preferred)
- 5+ years of experience with FASB, EITF, OCC, SEC, IASB, or a combination (Preferred)
