About the role

  • Teamcenter Systems Administrator managing Siemens Teamcenter PLM environments for national security projects. Ensuring reliability, performance, and compliance within cloud and on-premises infrastructures.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and operational support of Siemens Teamcenter PLM environments within the Siemens Xcelerator ecosystem.
  • Manage cloud-based and on-premises infrastructure (primarily AWS GovCloud) that hosts Teamcenter and all associated components, including application servers, databases, file management systems, and supporting enterprise services.
  • Collaborate with developers, architects, and infrastructure teams to support Teamcenter environments that meet performance, security, and operational requirements.
  • Design, configure, and maintain Teamcenter infrastructure environments, including application servers, web tiers, databases, file vaults, and supporting services across development, test, and production environments.
  • Review and optimize infrastructure configurations to improve system performance, scalability, availability, and cost efficiency, including implementing clustering, load balancing, backup/recovery strategies, and storage optimization.
  • Perform ongoing system maintenance, monitoring, and troubleshooting to ensure the stability and performance of our customers’ Teamcenter platform.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation for environment architecture, installation procedures, and operational maintenance activities.

Requirements

  • Currently hold or able to obtain a U.S. security clearance.
  • Siemens Teamcenter certifications or equivalent platform administration experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or other Engineering discipline.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience administering Siemens Teamcenter or Siemens Xcelerator environments, including installation, upgrades, patching, and rehosting.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience supporting cloud-hosted infrastructure environments, preferably AWS GovCloud.
  • Experience with licensing and costing for Siemens software, databases, and cloud infrastructure.
  • Experience diagnosing and resolving Teamcenter infrastructure and performance issues.
  • Experience administering networking, identity management, and enterprise services, including Active Directory and AppStream environments.
  • Experience implementing security hardening and compliance frameworks, including applying DoD STIGs for Windows and Linux systems.
  • Experience collaborating with the Siemens Technical Support & Siemens Government Technologies organizations.
  • Experience administering virtualized environments supporting Teamcenter deployments.
  • Experience installing and maintaining Oracle or Microsoft SQL Server databases supporting Teamcenter.
  • Strong proficiency in Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Windows Server administration, including shell scripting and automation.
  • Knowledge of Teamcenter system administration, including environment configuration, service management, and security configuration.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong documentation and operational process development skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within Agile software development environments.
